the concept of the dredwerkz began a long time ago...back in the poorer days when potatoes, not raman, dominated life in the district. the house in question was on 10th St. and was a tall white tower of a rowhouse. very impressive looking. still is.

but as i was saying...the members of the triumvirate were hanging out and we realized that it would be cool to have some sort of website where we could give people advice, review local restaurants and provoke some laughs. i threw together the site a few months later and that's where things started out.

over time, the site has evolved in many ways. i threw the news component in at the last minute, before "blogs" became cool and everyone had one. i had intended to pull some rss feeds in for the other pages so that each morning i could just look at my website and get all the daily headlines. i'm still planning to do this...just when i have more free time. originally, the icing section was an "editorial" section which would complement the newsy nature of the news section. with the blog-like main page insertion, however, there seemed to be less of a need for editorial like commentary.
