Betty J. Hayslip was 75 years old. Driving a PT Cruiser. Running a red light. Scott Tegtmeyer was 42. Crossing an intersection. Here's what happened. Oh, yes, it's real.. Sad, but true. Betty escaped with only a few cuts and bruises. So did Albertina L. Walker, whom she ran into. Scott wasn't so lucky.

It's the Team Time Trial today in the Tour de France. Postal started about ten minutes ago, and they're the last riders to go off. We won this stage in 2003, so go Posties!

I'm not really sure why "rational" progressives take such a hands-off approach to the Michael Moore movie. It didn't seem that crazy to me. Working in Washington, the whole idea of "relationships" is one in which quid-pro-quo has become defunct. Just a bunch of back scratching all around, really. So in honor of F911, I'd like to point folks to Michael Moore's new blog. If you're bored, check out the FAQ too. Evidently he was never in a bond film!

A co-worker yesterday wanted me to find some information on the Heinz farm outside Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, all the right wingnnuts had skewed the search engines in a bad direction, claiming that Kerry is filthy rich. Well, two can play at that game. Want to know who's really wealthy? Yeah. And unlike Kerry, Bush never earned a dime of his wealth.

First off, per a request made over the weekend, if people want to write reviews of movies/books/restaurants and then send them to me, I'll be happy to post them. (Provided you have a nickname already, of course!) This means YOU, Dwight!

Second, Forrest is contributing to a new blog, so I thought I'd throw people a link his way. It's a little spartan right now, but head over there as time progresses to catch some law perspectives untainted by the wingnuts.

Expect to see this with Edwards now too...

tom tomorrow cartoon

Of course, with Edwards, the comparison will be to the VPOTUS, Dick "Go Fuck Yourself" Cheney. Who will also suffer from the soft bigotry of low expectations...

Hooray, the veepstakes is over!

Seriously, Edwards was the best choice. Put this guy up against Dick Cheney in a debate and Edwards will charm his way to victory. Does he make Kerry look less appealing by comparison? Sure. But Dems, again, aren't voting for Kerry. They're voting against Bush. And Edwards ability to look great and sound pitch-perfect on television will help net new voters.

I'm adding a new title in honor of this today...

Posting this weekend will be light, in honor of kicking some british butt this weekend.

I will try to come up with some good pix in the process, though.

After a bunch of backend coding I finally finished two major projects. Essentially, the image database now works properly, and the Titles No One Reads have been written down in a special place along with explanations for each. I've also added all the TNOR to a database so that I can easily update them and add new ones when I feel so inclined. Enjoy the link because I'm not going to post it again.

So I recently moved the list of quote titles into a separate database. You know, the items that live at the top of the main page next to the words, "the dredwerkz -"? Now you can see them all on one page, along with the links to the place they may have originated from.

Work going on. At lunch. Just FYI.

Okay, I modifed the image server yesterday. From now on, every image will be still stored in the database, but you can view them by going to a particular directory. An example? Well, how about the current image on top? By moving to the directory, you get to see information about the image itself, yet still have a nice drop shadow. Hooray! Be sure to test it out with the images on the picture project 2 page.
